Design and draw three DIYTV logos, hide them around a room, then follow clues to spot each logo and record where they were visible.

Step-by-step guide to Spot the DIYTV Logo!
Step 1
Gather your materials and bring them to the room where you will play.
Step 2
On a sheet of paper draw three different DIYTV logo ideas side by side.
Step 3
Use your colouring materials to decorate each logo with bright colors and fun shapes.
Step 4
Carefully cut out each logo with scissors and ask an adult for help if you need it.
Step 5
Put a small piece of tape or a sticky note on the back of each logo so it can stick to things.
Step 6
Pick three hiding spots in the room and choose which logo will go in each spot.
Step 7
Hide each logo in its chosen spot so it is a little tricky but still findable.
Step 8
Write one short clue for each hidden logo in your notebook using a rhyme hint or simple direction.
Step 9
Stand at your starting point and read the first clue out loud.
Step 10
Follow the clue and search the room until you spot the matching logo.
Step 11
Write down exactly where you found that logo in your notebook.
Step 12
Repeat Steps 9 to 11 for the remaining two clues until all three locations are found and recorded.
Step 13
Share your finished creation on DIY.org

Help!?
What can we use if we can't find scissors, tape, or sticky notes for cutting and sticking the logos (Steps 3–5)?
If you don't have scissors, use safe craft tearable paper or pre-cut shapes and instead of tape or sticky notes (Step 4) use a folded paper tab, a small dab of removable putty/Blu-Tack, or a sticker to attach each logo.
What should we do if a logo is too hard to find or keeps falling off during the hunt (Steps 6–9)?
If a logo keeps falling or is too tricky (Steps 6 and 7), reinforce the back with a larger piece of tape or putty, pick a slightly more visible hiding spot, and test it once from your starting point (Step 12) before writing the clue.
How can we adapt the activity for younger kids or older children (Steps 2, 6, 10)?
For younger kids simplify Step 2 by drawing big, bold logos and use easy hiding spots in Step 6 with an adult reading the clues (Step 10), while older kids can add more logos, write trickier rhymes in the notebook, and time each search for a challenge.
How can we extend or personalize the Spot the DIYTV Logo! game after finishing the three logo hunt (Steps 11–13)?
To extend the activity, laminate or cover your coloured logos from Step 3 for reuse, add a points system or map in your notebook when recording finds (Step 11), and include a photo story when you share on DIY.org (Step 13).
