Create an incredible abstract and distorted self-portrait
Before the Renaissance, artists were quite shy when it came to selfies and hence it wasn’t until the 15th century that self-portraiture became a genre of its own! From Rembrandt to Frida Kahlo, artists today continue to riff on them in thoughtful variations, especially in photography. Learn how to make one with our mentor @CreateWithXenia. To begin, find an object that is reflective other than a mirror-like a metal iron, hubcap, fishbowl, coffee, or teapot. Try to capture the essence of your emotions and the distortion from the reflection. All you need is some paper, a pencil, paints, brushes, water, and some tissues to ace this!
